Food Miles - Belilah Barangan Buatan Malaysia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_miles

Courtesy of Wikipedia.

In short, Food miles is a term which refers to the distance food is transported from the time of its production until it reaches the consumer. This mean that if we are to consume some foods from overseas, automatically the food miles involved would be high. This will indirectly affect the cost of transportation involved….not dollar and cents, it’s the polutions involved from the transmission of the transporting vehicles….

Reads the wikipedia link and you will understand what I m trying to say here.

Hence, we can also do our parts here in Malaysia. We can consume more local food instead of going for imported stuff?

Think about is, we can do our parts to save the world………

Not to eat less…. But to eat local… haha

Good food in Salak @ Nilai

Our main intention is to pick up a friend returning from Singapore and to head for dinner after that. Despite being nearby to nilai, and one of us who worked here for a period of time, brought us (no choice stop, since its already 930pm) here, a place out of nowhere for dinner.

Surprisingly, it was good food and the price was very reasonable. Its at Salak and its nearby a Petronas….. that’s all I can describe about the locations since it was very dark and out of nowhere there is this small town……

We had the Mutton Claypot (very diff style of cooking, recommended), minced pork wrapped in egg (very nice), sweet & sour pork chop (very nice) and 4 heavenly king (vege with lots of cili padi, nice)…. And it comes to about RM45 only...

Must try if u can find the place, haha

Note: the Indian guy  = Mahen, the Chinese guy = Han Wee

Waja Air Con Compressor

2 days back when I was heading to fetch my wife from the LRT station, suddently my waja produces a “click klock and ting ting ting” sound from the engine compartment. At 1st, I thought that I hit some metal things and it somehow hit the body of the car. After a short moment, there were “yeeeee yeee yeeeeeee” sound coming from the front part of the car. Oh man, that must be something wrong with the car. While I m still in the car, moving on the highway, I turned off the Aircon and I notice that the sound stops. This is bad…….

When I reached the LRT station with my window opened, I got down just to make sure what is wrong. It was indeed a sound coming from the air con compressor. But the air con compressor is still working fine, whereby the wheel still locks up when the aircon is activated. Well, its better for me to turn It off before anything got worse….

The next day I takes the car to the nearby DENSO air con specialist. He checked and found that its really the compressor that has damaged and its BEYOND REPAIR…..

Sigh, this sounds like money is coming our from my pocket again………………………….

Had it fixed with a RECON DENSO compressor with an additional bracket bcos my original compressor was a PATCO. Its RM 645 (RM 80 for gas refill + RM50 for labour + 45 for 4GP belt + 470 for RECON Denso compressor). My wallet is bleeding again….. which will affect my tummy input imbalance throughout the month…. U know what I mean…. Hahaha

The pros – air con is working again, its activation and deactivation was much smoother…..

The cons – it seems not as cold as the previous PATCO compressor, + excessive bleeding from my wallet……

Farmville @ Facebook

One day when my wife is busy planting trees and harvesting the chicken, I realize how much I miss the electronic gaming world which I left from years ago. She has her own farms and the best thing is, the farm never gets attack by pesticide or bad weather. She can always harvest good crops. Ha…

On one fine evening, after I settle down at home and I somehow enrolled myself into the game and started playing. Its has trigger my addictions towards it in making coins and leveling up to a brand new kinds of plants and livestocks. That’s …………….. quite fun….

At the same time you can also invite those who are already in your facebook list to be your neighbour. Sometimes, you get request to help to cleanup your friends farm. What else couldn’t facebook make?

What I see is that facebook has tried their best to link its member as many way as they could. Which is a good things to do. One way of looking at this would be facebook linking people in the cyberworld. Chatting to friends online (slow but possible). And make topics with old long lost friends. Plus point…

But on the other hand, it also encourages less human to human interactions in real life. Human being would rather stay at home to talk to more friends than to go out and see only a bunch. Ha….

When there are pros, there will cons……. Newtons Law of relativity……

Soupy Treat?

This place is in SeaPark Giant. It’s a roadside stall which could easily be spotted if u keep on going round Giant. Soup is marvelous and there are some which are hot selling and most of the time its “NO MORE”. There are a couple of side dishes to go with the soup to make a more complete DINNER. Highly recommended for all. Gout patient shall keep away from the dark dishes. They are not gout friendly. Another true story… haha

Gov Servant Bonus = Subsidy

Did you read the newspaper lately? Well, gov servant will enjoy bonuses from the saving from lesser subsidy. HUH? This is ridiculous!!!!!!

The equation goes like this

LESSER SUBSIDY = GOV SERVANT GET BONUSES = MORE BURDEN TO RAKYAT

Do our government know that a lot of people will not get bonuses due to the economy slowdown and yet they didn’t put more effort in lessen our burden. In fact, they are trying to save on subsidy to pay for the bonuses………wahlaueh
